Captain Clod’s Cape-Updated

Here’s the final painting for this panel.

Here’s my first colored panel for my comic for Parable. It’s Captain Clod and Farm Equipment boy!  I’d love any feedback on which cape color you think looks best, and the coloring in general.  Click “more” to see both versions.

Hey Bruna, I loooove your illustration and work. I’m glad I found it!

Depends on what you’re trying to do – the blue is more consistent with the rest of the costume and looks better to me (at least in this drawing). On the other hand, if want to play up the “bright colors” aspect of the superhero genre, the green is probably better.

If you’re feeling frisky, you could make the outside of the cape blue and the inside green.

Or not.

Either way, cool art. Between you, Sarah Mensinga, and Michelle Gorski, I’m really looking forward to Parable.

Yeah, I`ll have to agree with Tyson. I like the way both of the colors look, but blue does make it look more together. It fits more nicely with the rest of the superhero outfit.

Thanks Tyson and Chistina. The blue cape it is!
