Yep. You guessed it. I’ve been too busy to do any new illustrations. Didn’t stop me from revisiting this one though and hopefully tweakin’ it for the better.

So I had this illustration from an old Drawergeeks, and I was never fully satisfied with the way it was lit, or its materials. Well I’ve been using custom Mental Ray shaders a lot more recently,  so I decided to give it another whack. I’m liking this a lot better. Much more moody/interesting I think.  Click it for ze biggie version.

Why is this fellow looking so nervous? He knows I’ll be on the radio as guest D.J. on the fabulous Josh and Brett Folk Hour music show. Yep, this tuesday, Oct. 23rd. I’ll be on from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. eastern standard time (that’s 3:00 for you west coasters, 5:00 for you central folks, and I don’t know for the rest of you).  I’ll be playing some of my favorite folkish tunes, and my daughter may even come along and help. I have been so busy with school and freelance work this semester that my art and writing are suffering greatly. And consequently so is my blog.  :(  Until I can get some more breathing space, I’ll have to settle for posting some more of my photography.
