Whew. It’s been awhile since I’ve been posting regularly. That’s cuz I’ve been ensconced, yes, ensconced in my graphic novel for kids “The TV in Me.” I’m going to start sending it out to publishers next week, so we’ll see what happens. Anyway, I’ll be posting some stuff from it over the next few weeks.
Here it is finally! My friend Paul Griswold and I got to work together on this spot for the National Association of Broadcasters. Paul did all the animation and I did the art work. It was super fun to work with him and the good folks at Brunner Digital.
Sorry for the lack of posting lately, here’s a bunch of recent doodly type stuff.
An oldie, but one of my favorite illustrations from back in the VeggieTales days. I created most of that food by actually scannin french toast hot off the pan, the front and sides, and decimating a loaf of french bread and then reassembling it in 3d. Plus my good friend and illustrator extrordiare Jody Nilsen...
Here’s my second Where The Wild Things Are tribute illustration for Terrible Yellow Eyes. If you scroll down a tad, there’s another process vid. If you watch it on Vimeo it’s even in HD! Oooooooo. (It really does look much better watching it there.)
Here’s some work I did for a commercial for the National Association of Broadcasters. I’ll post the actual animated commercial (animated by the fabulous Paul Griswold) after it’s actually aired, as well as some of the illustrations I did for the print campaign.
Well, my second WTWTA illustration will have to wait a few days. I’ve been requested to keep in on the down low until it gets featured on TerribleYellowEyes. So, in a couple days I’ll have the whole illustration a process back up. Until then, here’s a teaser. Doug, you got in early and it paid...
