My buddy Tim Baron’s new graphic novel Julius Destructus that he did with writer Ben Avery is almost out! He asked me to do a fan illustration for the gallery section of his book. Yay! Here it is. I’ve read JD and it’s fantastic! So very good.

There are few things that I like drawing more than birds. Obviously. I think it’s those beaks. Who doesn’t love drawing a beak? No one I know.
So, due to several things, I was feeling down about myself as an artist, creative person, etc. Then I got a note from Farizka. She lives in Indonesia. She said she was a fan of my art and sent me a picture of some stuff she’s been drawing. What an honor.

Stine from Norway just got a tattoo of one of my cartoon dinosaurs and sent me a picture. I think it looks great!
I’m working on a new freelance job designing a fun cartoon dog character. One of my favorite things to draw for sure! I can’t show you the one that’s being used yet, so here’s all the ones that aren’t!
This is an exploration for another illustration I did for an alphabet children’s picture book. The book is for a charity organization called Tools for Schools Africa. I’m doing the letter “I”. I’ll be posting the final illustration soon, along with some other character explorations.
